Chicago North Avenue beach Engagement

Start your Chicago engagement session with a sunrise at North Avenue Beach. As a Chicago wedding photographer, I recommend capturing the city’s natural beauty at this quiet hour—before the crowds arrive, giving you the entire shoreline to yourselves. The peaceful beach setting is perfect for those intimate moments, with the Chicago skyline in the distance.

We then headed to the heart of downtown Chicago for stunning engagement photos at the Board of Trade. With the streets empty in the early morning light, we had the entire space to ourselves to capture Kate and Rob’s connection against the city’s iconic architecture. The calm atmosphere allowed us to get those timeless photos, showcasing the elegance of Chicago’s historic streets and buildings.

Kate and Rob are planning a beautiful wedding at the Rookery Building, and I can’t wait to photograph their big day. They’re such a pleasure to work with, and it’s clear their wedding day will be as perfectly planned and timeless as their engagement session.

Fred & Vicki | A Winter Elopement on Chicago’s Coldest Day

On December 12, 2024, Fred and Vicki got married on what might’ve been the coldest day in Chicago’s history. After saying their vows, we bundled up and headed to the Art Institute for photos, dodging icy sidewalks and laughing through the chill.

What made their day unforgettable was how they brought meaning to every tradition. Vicki put her own spin on “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in your shoe,” and it was perfect:

  • Old: Her grandfather’s watch, a simple, beautiful way to keep her family close.

  • New: A chic fascinator that honored Fred’s British roots.

  • Borrowed: Fred’s family signet ring, full of history and legacy.

  • Blue: A silk scarf inspired by Taiwanese pottery, a nod to Vicki’s heritage.

  • Sixpence: A vintage coin sent by Fred’s dad, tying everything together.

It was freezing, but these two didn’t care. They were fully in the moment—laughing, holding hands, and making the city feel a little warmer just by being together.

Winter weddings aren’t for everyone, but Fred and Vicki made it look effortless. Their day was small, meaningful, and completely theirs.

Greek Intimate wedding in Chicago

Chicago Greek Orthodox Wedding

I had the incredible privilege of photographing a beautiful Greek church wedding followed by a joyous celebration at the Athenian Room in Chicago!

The love and warmth radiated from every corner of the enchanting church as the bride and groom exchanged vows. It was a heartfelt ceremony filled with timeless traditions and cherished blessings.

As the festivities continued at the Athenian Room, the air was filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the aromas of mouthwatering Greek delicacies. The intimate setting made every moment even more magical.

From capturing stolen glances to the pure bliss on the faces of the couple, I am honored to have immortalized these precious memories through my lens.

Thank you to the newlyweds for entrusting me with the task of documenting your love story. It was an honor to be a part of this incredible celebration and capture moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.

THE BEAUTY AND HISTORY OF MILAN BY LENS

Last week I was invited to capture a mother and daughter duo on their trip to Milan.

It was a sweet weekend getaway full of historic architecture and beauty in every moment. I was enamored with the sights and scenes and the delicious espressos, food, and wine. The taste of my morning espresso lingers.

We walked the streets of Milan and explored all that the city had to offer. From fashion to landmark destinations we traversed it all, taking it all in. We visited Roberto Cavalli and received a private viewing of their archives vault.

Capturing special moments along the way.
